My first time here. I must say the food here is superb and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the crabs! Staffs there were friendly and polite as well. Definitely deserve a five star!

The price here is affordable and quite cheap, so you can try lots of dishes at one time, and it’s delicious. The service is also 100% — the waiters are super patient even when they’re really busy. I even saw the waiters washing the containers for chili and garlic, which I’ve never seen any other restaurant do before. It’s so hygienic and really surprising!

Food is nice (recommended) but service drop 1 start due to when we enter, there was 1 table vacant for 4 person (only 3 of us) but they don't let us sit. However another customer came in & request for a table for 4, the guy let them sit.

Portion is quite generous. Price is really cheap and affordable. Only downside may be in terms of food presentation. This restaurant can be more towards salty tastebud, but can be highlighted to waiter during ordering. Overall is really good with cheap price.

Sam Can Cook Restaurant in Ipoh offers plenty of choices on the menu, and the food is both delicious and reasonably priced. One thoughtful detail I really appreciate is that the saltiness of the dishes can be adjusted upon request, which adds a warm and personal touch to the dining experience. Flavors are quite strong so be prepared but everything we tried was good. The mushrooms were deep fried and were crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The veggies were soft and had a sweeter flavor. The fish was fresh and had a strong flavor.

Walked by and saw the restaurant filled with families enjoying dinner, so decided to see if they could squeeze a table for us. Thankfully, a small table had just completed their meal, so we were in luck. Service was homely and wonderful, and despite a full restaurant, the team took the time to review my order, helpfully suggesting changes to prevent me from over ordering. And I'm glad i listened to their advice. What followed was a delightful meal, each dish competently prepared and rich in flavour. The crabs and prawns were fresh and sweet, the kangkong crunchy and smoky, and the mushrooms crisp and perfectly seasoned. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, and will be back again soon.
